Our Partners in Belarus - IPCO “Peace for the children”

The International Public Charity Organization “Peace for the children” was registered by Ministry of Justice of Belarus on the 30th of October in 1997. The registration certificate is ?1386.

The address is 21, Biriuzov Street, Minsk, Belarus. The telephone number is +375-17-207-67-60.

The chairwoman of the organization is Shchukina Tamara Victorovna. There are 50 members in the organization.

The organization has a license to carry out the activity connected with recuperation of children abroad.

The organization’s aim is to contribute to social, material and charity help to orphans, the children in difficult circumstances, the children who suffered from calamities and disasters including Chernobyl disaster.

One of the main activities is the recuperation of the children abroad.

The organization cooperates with 18 Italian, 5 Spanish and 1 Irish organizations according to the humanitarian programmes and to the Programme of recuperation of Belarusian children abroad.

In 2010 2276 children and 130 accompanying teachers went for recuperation:

To Italy – 1965 children

To Spain – 178 children

To Ireland – 133 children

The children are those who live in orphanages and boarding schools for abandoned children, in foster and guardian families, in socially unfavorable families and families from Chernobyl zone. The recuperation programmes are financed by the receiving country in the form of the foreign gratis help.

The recuperation programme is closely connected with the humanitarian cooperation of our foreign partners with children’s establishments of Belarus in the form of financial help.

In 2010 IPCO “Peace for the children” financed the following charity activities:

- Clothes, footwear, furniture for the playing room, pampers were bought; summer houses for Bobruisk children’s home were built for the sum of 7000, 00 euro.

- Summer rest of the children from families with one parent, from foster and guardian families in summer camps of Belarus was paid for the sum of 3000, 00 euro.

- Furniture, footwear, consumer goods were bought for the hospital of pulmonology with the children suffering from tuberculosis (for the sum of 1500, 00 euro).

- Due to the help of foreign partners in 2000 the organization opened an orphanage in Frunzenskiy district in Minsk and has been contributing 8000, 00 annually for its needs organizing work of volunteers to help children.

The organization’s activity in realizing humanitarian projects has often been noted as positive and rewarded by the Department of humanitarian activity under the Administration of President in Belarus.
